Hindi Movies Reviews,
Billu Barber Movie 2009 Waiting for yet another Shahrukh flick? There is good news - you would not have to wait much to see The King Khan, as his latest flick - ‘Billu Barber’ is expected to hit the theaters in the first quarter of 2009. A remake of the Malayalam film ‘Kadha Parayumbol’, this comic movie has been produced by SRK’s Red Chillies Entertainment. It stars Shah Rukh Khan, Irrfan Khan, Lara Dutta, Om Puri, Rajpal Yadav and Asrani as its main characters. The news is abuzz that Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone will also be seen in the movie, in guest appearances. While the lyrics for ‘Billoo Barber’ have been written by Gulzar, Pritam is the music director for this humorous movie. It is for the first time that Shahrukh and Irrfan will be sharing screen space. With the likes of Om Puri, Rajpal Yadav and Asrani in the movie, rest assured that you are going to have a fine taste of comedy. The film is a tale of two friends, a modern adaptation of the platonic relationship shared by Krishna and Sudama. Priyadarshan is expecting to strike diamond with this movie, as it would mark his 75th film as a director. In the movie, Irrfan Khan plays the title role of Billu Barber (present-day Sudama); Shahrukh will be seen as Sahil Khan (present-day Krishna). The movie revolves around the life of Billu Barber, his wife (Lara Dutta) and their two kids. Billu is a village barber experiencing a slow down in his business, primarily because he fails to adapt to the changing fashion trends. It is during this time that a film unit comes to his village, with superstar Sahil Khan as the hero. Billu tells everyone in the village that Sahil is his old friend. Instantly, the villagers take a keen liking to Billu. All the villagers want to meet the Sahil Khan and believe Billu to be the perfect person, who can help arrange a rendezvous with him. Now, Billu tries to meet the actor, but is unsuccessful in the attempt. This makes everyone suspicious about his claim. Not only the villagers, but even his family members believe that he was lying about his friendship with Sahil. What will Billu do now? Will he be able to meet his friend? Will Sahil recognize Billu? Will Billu’s family members and villagers believe him again? The answers are for the viewers to unveil as the movie hits the theaters in 2009.

Ghajini rules crosses 200 crores
Yes!!! Aamir Khan's recent box-office-bombshell Ghajini has crossed the 200-crores mark. A whopping Rs. 162 crores has been grossed in the domestic market and Rs. 39 crores in the overseas market. And all this has been achieved in a little less than two weeks!
The producers are naturally overjoyed. With a stupendous 1,200 prints release, the movie has caught the fancy of both rural and urban audiences to a phenomenal extent. Backed by an aggressive marketing strategy and a stunning star cast, the film is expected to break the records of all-time-domestic earners like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (Rs. 165 cr) and Gadar-Ek Prem Katha (Rs. 170 cr). The flick is also expected to conquer KANK which made Rs. 44 crores in the overseas market.
Ghajini, the re-make of the Tamil movie of the same name by A.R. Murugadoss, has Aamir Khan and Asin in the lead roles. With hero Aamir's stature and heroine Asin's fame, the movie was expected to break all records. The post-release results have confirmed the expectations. Now, with the 200-crores mark covered in 2 weeks, it looks like the Ghajini game is not yet over and the flick is all set to topple even more records.

OVERVIEW :
Chandni Chowk To China, the first ever Bollywood Kungfu comedy takes you on a madcap Journey from the by-lanes of Chandni Chowk in Delhi, to Shanghai, the Great Wall and rural China, marrying in its wake hilarious gags, breathtaking action, spectacular locations, and heart stirring emotions. Our protagonist Sidhu (Akshay Kumar) is the lowest on the totem pole, cutting vegetables at a roadside food stall in Chandni Chowk in Delhi. He longs to escape his dreary existence and looks for shortcuts- with astrologers, tarot readers and fake fakirs - believing anything except himself, despite his father figure Dada's (Mithun Chakraborty) best efforts. His redeeming moment arrives when two strangers from China claim him as a reincarnation of a war hero in the past and takes him to China. Sidhu now dreams of wine, women, and a princely existence in foreign lands. Thanks to the devious translator, a conman by the name Chopstick (Ranvir Shorey), little does he know that he is being taken to the Promised Land to rid the Chinese village of the vicious smuggler Hojo (Gordon Liu)! Therefore, Sidhu blissfully sets forth to China with Chopstick who instigates dreams of a delicious future and forgets to reveal the perils, which await him. Along the way, he meets Sakhi (Deepika Padukone), Ms. Tele Shoppers Media (Ms. TSM) who has embarked on a journey to pay homage to the land of her birth and her dead father and twin. Initially, Sidhu through a series of lucky coincidences manages to sidestep being beaten by Hojo's men but finally Hojo catches up with him and exposes him as the country buffoon that he really is. Sidhu has the fire of revenge in his belly and finds the one man who will make him a Kungfu expert and set the village free. Armed with his Sifu (master), faith in himself and the love of the fair Sakhi, Sidhu sets forth to conquer all!

Gossip columnists have linked Mukerji to many industry figures, but she has strongly denied every single rumour of romance. Several gossip columns have also claimed that she is regularly in feud with some of the Bollywood actors and actresses, but Mukerji has denied this.
Mukerji changed the English transliteration of her surname from Mukherjee to Mukerji several years ago. At the time, it was reported that she did this for numerological reasons. In 2006, Mukerji stated that numerology was not a concern; her name had been put down as Mukerji on her passport, and she wanted to be consistent.
Mukerji has three homes in Mumbai, including her childhood home. She bought a bungalow in Juhu for herself and her parents in mid-2005. The house went through a two year renovation with the interiors done by Twinkle Khanna and Sussanne Roshan.
Rani Mukerji was on the top slot of Filmfare's 'Top Ten Bollywood Actresses' list for two years in a row (2004-2005). She was also placed number one on Rediff's 'Top Bollywood Female Stars' Rankings for three consecutive years (2004-2006), while in 2007, she was ranked at number five.
In February 2006, Filmfare Magazine placed her eighth amongst the "Ten Most Powerful Names of Bollywood", an achievement she repeated from the previous year, where she was ranked at number ten as the only woman on the list.In 2007, she was ranked higher at number five.
On Women's International Day 2007, Mukerji came in the fourth position on the All-Time Best Bollywood Actresses Ever Listing.
She was placed at number #36 by UK magazine Eastern Eye as one of "Asia's Sexiest Women" (Sept/2006).[47] Mukerji is frequently featured in various lists by Rediff.com, among them, Bollywood's Most Beautiful Actresses, Bollywood's Best Dressed Womenand Women of Many Faces.
Mukerji has made three appearances in Karan Johar's talk show Koffee with Karan. She appeared with Kareena Kapoor, Shahrukh Khan and Kajol, and Madhuri Dixit as a surprise guest. Recently, she made her first appearance on a reality show, along with its contestants on Star Voice of India. The finalists performed to a medley of famous songs from her films.

Raaz - The Mystery Continues
RAAZ NEW REVIEW
The Bipasha Basu starrer Raaz did blockbuster business more than half a decade ago. Vikram Bhatt was the captain of the ship back then, its Mohit Suri now for Raaz - The mystery continues. Emraan Hashmi and the talented Kangana Ranaut star alongside Shekar Suman's son Adhyayan who made his debut last year in Haal-e-dil.
A brooding artist Prithvi (Emraan), experiences mysterious & distressing visions about Nandita (Kangana), a woman he has never met, while he paints on canvas. Intrigued by these visions, Prithvi tracks her down and warns her that these are not merely paintings of her, but accidents that are waiting to happen! At first, Nandita refuses to believe him and dismisses him as an eccentric stalker. However, the striking resemblance between Prithvi's paintings and the near - death incidents in her life is hard to ignore. Haunted by a series of deathly and paranormal experiences, her reason crumbles in the face of fear.
Now, one of Prithvi's paintings has revealed her as dead! The only way she can change her fate, is to unravel this mystery with his help, at the risk of alienating herself from her boyfriend, Yash, who is a rational and logical man. But he refuses to believe in Prithvi's premonitions. Will Nandita risk her love and her life to unravel this mystery? Is there no escape at all?
The script of Raaz - The Mystery continues is solid and very interesting but not without flaws. The execution by Mohit Suri is good, ensuring the audience doesn't loose interest. You always guess as to what could happen next. The background score and the thrilling visuals enhance the scare quotient, vital for a movie like Raaz. Add to it the beautiful music (Soniyo, Maahi) and fabulous performances; the result - Raaz - The Mystery continues is by far one of the best Horror flicks from Bollywood in a long time.
The pace of the film in the first half is slow as the main characters take up the entire first half to develop, but the pace increases considerably in the second with the introduction of several new characters. The character of Kangana works and manages to evoke weird kind of feelings; you damn sure would be holding your breath as her character screams its way through. To Kangana's credit apart from the skin show which is by now a trademark of most of her movies, she has delivered a very convincing performance.
Emraan Hashmi has slowly converted himself into a very dependable actor, performance wise. He also manages to get most of the expressions right. Adhyayan Suman is decent, he needs to work a bit on his expressions and dialogue delivery, which sucked throughout! Again to his credit he showed signs of improvement in the second half. The rest are okay.
To sum up, director Mohit Suri and his team live up to expectations. If you want to get scared, feel the thrill and enjoy the suspense, Don't miss Raaz.
