Jashn movie review and story
Directed by Raksha Mistry and Hasnanin Hyderabadwala who have earlier made films like THE KILLER and THE TRAIN, JASHN is looking at March 2009 release. Set on a lavish scale, the film stars Adhyayan Suman, Anjana Sukhani, Shahana Goswami and Humayun Saeed (from Pakistan) in the lead roles.
Vishesh Films' JASHN sees coming together of Indian as well as Pakistani composers for the music of the film. The film has been majorily shot in the locales of South Africa as well as India.
On every street, in every home in India, there is a nobody who wants to be a somebody. And JASHN is the story of one such nobody.
Synopsis:
Akash Verma (Adhyayan Suman) is a twenty year old Indian lad who thirsts to become a singing icon who can blaze a trail for himself among the galaxy of existing stars. But though he has dreams in his heart he has not been able to find that distinctive voice that he can call his own, that will propel him to the top. Only when he's shattered by life and unflinchingly looks the sordid truth in the face - that he is freeloading off his elder sister Nisha, (Shahana Goswani) who, in order to offer him a decent life style, has become the mistress of a rich businessman, Aman Bajaj (Humayun Sayeed); is he is able to touch his inner core.
Call it irony or twist of fate, but the person who sees him through this dark night and mentors him when he's down and out is none other than the sister of the person who he hates most in the world... Aman Bajaj. It is Sara, (Anjana Sukhani) Aman's sister, who reawakens him to his talent and shows him that the biggest crime a human being can commit is to give up on himself. What follows is a gripping tale of Akash's self discovery in the harshest winter of his life, spurred by life's bittersweet lessons, and Sara's love and support.
